Clinical Immunology and Allergy: Knowledge of Vaccines and Vaccination

Journal of Clinical Immunology and Allergy is an open-access scholarly journal which focuses on publishing journals relating to immune system, immunological disorders, hypersensitivity and allergic diseases.

The immune system consists of a complex network of cells and proteins that defends the body against infection. Vaccines act like a training course for the immune system by preparing the body to fight disease without exposing it to disease symptoms.

The body’s immune system helps in protecting against pathogens that cause infection. Most of the time, it’s an efficient system. It predominantly keeps microorganisms out of the body or get rid of them by tracking.

Vaccines are used to boost your immune system and prevent serious, life-threatening diseases. Vaccines teach our body how to defend itself when germs like viruses or bacteria invade.

How do vaccines work ???

  • Vaccines expose your body to a very small, very safe amount of viruses or bacteria that have been weakened or killed.
  • Your immune system then learns to recognize and attack the infection if you are exposed to it later in life.

As a result, you will not become ill, or you may have a milder infection. This is a natural way to deal with infectious diseases.

Vaccination is a way to teach the immune system how to recognize and eliminate an organism. They are an important form of primary prevention and protect people from getting sick. Diseases like measles, polio, tetanus and whooping cough have been controlled by vaccination.

Importance of Vaccine:

During child birth, many germs are transferred to the child from mother through placenta. After a few weeks or so these germs may causes diseases. In order to prevent the child from diseases, babies are to be vaccinated.

It is common for people to have an over- or underactive immune system. Over activity of the immune system includes allergic diseases where the immune system makes an overly strong response to allergens. Allergic diseases are very common. They include allergies to foods, medications or stinging insects, anaphylaxis (life-threatening allergy), hay fever (allergic rhinitis), sinus disease, asthma, hives (urticaria), dermatitis and eczema.

Researchers thoroughly investigate each vaccine before presenting the data to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The overwhelming majority of research shows that vaccines are safe, so each and every being should get vaccinated without hesitation.

Vaccines not only protect you. They protect people around you, especially people who are not well enough to be vaccinated.

The Journal publishes papers/articles of or related to immune system, immunological disorders, hypersensitivity, adjuvants, auto immune disorders and allergic diseases.

It is of immense pleasure to invite Researchers to this inaugural issue for “Journal of Clinical Immunology and Allergy.” The Journal Considers Editorial, letter, Case reports, Short communications, Original and Review articles from leading scientists and scholars around the world in all areas of food, nutrition, biochemistry, physiology, pathology and medicine.
