Journal of Medical Physics and Applied Sciences and its Scope.

Journal of Medical Physics and Applied Sciences is a quality platform for sharing the application of physics concepts, theories, and methods to medicine or healthcare. Medical Physics is a branch of Applied Physics, pursued by medical physicists, that uses physics principles, methods and techniques in practice and research for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases with a specific goal of improving human health and well-being.

The Journal focuses on Biomedical Physics, Computed Tomography, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Physics, Fluoroscopy, Healthcare, Health Physics, Mammography, Medical Physics, Nuclear Medicine Physics, Radiation Oncology, Radiation Protection, Radiation Safety, Therapeutic Physics, X-Rays and other areas justifying the title of the journal.

Biomedical Physics:

Biomedical physics is the conjugation of Physics and Biology in Medicine

Computed Tomography:

Computed tomography (CT) is a scientific procedure that uses the application of special X-ray equipment to visualize and analyze detailed pictures or scans of areas inside the body.

Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Physics:

Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Physics mainly concentrate on digital imaging technologies like Computed tomography, X-ray imaging, magnetic resonance imaging.

Fluoroscopy:

Fluoroscopy is a medical imaging technology that shows a continuous X-ray image on a monitor of an analyzer.

Health Physics:

It is the science that encompasses the recognition, evaluation, control of health hazards and permits the safe use of ionizing radiation.

Mammography:

Mammography is the scientific process of using low-energy X-ray, i.e., around 30 kVp, to examine the human breast.

Medical Physics:

Medical Physics is the branch of physics that involves the application of physics to the needs of medicine.

Nuclear Medicine Physics:

Nuclear medicine is a medical imaging procedure that applies radioactive material to diagnose and determine the extremity of diseases.

Radiation Oncology:

Radiation oncology is the medical procedure for the treatment of cancer using ionizing and non-ionizing radiation.

Therapeutic Physics:

Therapeutic Physics is the branch of physics that encompasses the principles and application of physics for the treatment of disease and the action of remedial agents.

X-Rays:

X-radiation or X-rays is an electromagnetic radiation that lies in the wavelength range 0.01 to 10 nanometers, frequencies in the range 3×1016 Hz to 3×1019 Hz and energies in the range 100 eV to 100 keV.

Journal of Medical Physics and Applied Sciences also includes other areas justifying the title of the journal.

The journal invites different types of articles including original research article, review articles, short note communications, case reports, Editorials, letters to the Editors and expert opinions & commentaries from different regions for publication. A standard editorial manager system is utilized for manuscript submission, review, editorial processing and tracking which can be securely accessed by the authors, reviewers and editors for monitoring and tracking the article processing. Manuscripts can be forwarded to the Editorial Office at medicalsci@medicinaljournals.com
