Associations of age and MS duration with comorbidities and disability were explored using registry data.Hypertension, diabetes, and cancer were associated with age, and cardiac disease was associated with both age and MS duration.While having at least moderate gait disability was associated with both age and MS duration, severe was associated with MS duration only.The spline analysis suggested a non-linear increase of having at least moderate gait disability with age.Presence of comorbidities was largely associated with age only. Having at least moderate gait disability was associated with both age and MS duration, while having severe gait disabity was associated with MS duration only.Illness personification theory posits that individuals suffering from chronic illness ascribe human characteristics to their illness, which impacts their adaptation. Whereas negative or malevolent personification of chronic illness derails adaptation, positive or benevolent personification yields a complex pattern with aspects of adaptation. This study aimed to examine, for the first time, the role of personification of multiple sclerosis (MS).

Multiple sclerosis is a neurological autoimmune disease. Different disease-modifying treatments exist; however, they do not control the neurodegenerative processes and often result in adverse events. Therefore, many people with multiple sclerosis turn to complementary or integrative health (CIH) practices. Yoga is one of the more popular CIH practices among people with multiple sclerosis, and evidence points to an association between yoga and improved body awareness. The objective of this study was to investigate if a 12-week yoga course can improve body awareness in patients with multiple sclerosis as measured with the Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness (MAIA) questionnaire.
