Description

Nutrition is very crucial to well-being of pregnant women and the baby. Inadequate nutrition, on the other hand, may lead to many problems during their pregnancy as such anemia, lack of oxygen during delivering baby, low birth weight of baby and baby die inside the mother (Pattani Public Health Center, 2010). Thus, the aim of this study is to employ Health Belief Model (HBM) to explain and predict nutrition intake of pregnant women in Pattani, Thailand. The implication of this study will provide the recommendation for hospital in Pattani in order to influence pregnant women to be aware of their nutrition and help to change pregnant women’ behavior e.g. eating behavior.

Fetal heart rate variations and uterine contractility were studied by continuous monitoring in 17 spontaneous labors and 17 elective inductions. The pregnancies were at term and without known complications. The incidence of type I dips was lower in spontaneous labors than in elective inductions (21 and 49 per cent, respectively, p < 0.001). The intensity of contractions was lower in spontaneous labors than in elective inductions (= 43 mm. Hg) (p < 0.001). In both groups the intensity of contractions and the incidence of type I dips were directly related. At a given intensity the incidence of type I dips was greater in the induced labors. The higher incidence of type I dips found in the induction group could be attributed to the greater intensity of contractions and the counter pressure on the fetal head caused by a greater resistance of the birth canal. Type I dips are caused by uneven compression and deformation of the fetal head which may cause EEG alterations, cerebral lesions, and neurological sequelae. We recommend the proscription of inductions when no important medical indications justify them. Family is a multi-dimensional structure that has particular intricacies in its internal relationships which should be taken into account in the family studies. Differentiation is one of these intricacies that Bowen has established his Family Therapy Theory upon it. This study is aimed to consider the relationship between self-differentiation and psychological health. This study is a correlation study and the statistical population includes the clients of counseling centers of Tabriz city. To collect data, we used Differentiation of Self Inventory-2 (DSI-2) and General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) as instruments. Step by step Multiple Regression was used to analyze data. The findings indicates that there is a significantly positive relationship between self - differentiation and psychological health (P<0/001). Regarding to the findings, it could be concluded that those who apply appropriate Self-differentiation in their lives, they would have less psychological vulnerability comparing to the ones who lack Self-differentiation.
